Teach and inspire future MITs at Christchurch Hospital. Join expert educators and lead in diagnostic radiography.
You will teach in the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (BMI) programme, working with a team of staff who are experienced clinicians and educators. You are expected to be a qualified MIT with current registration and recent experience in general diagnostic radiography.
No teaching experience? No problem - we will support you with training and mentoring to help you thrive in the role. We have a variety of clinical hours available - let us know if you want part-time or full-time and join a team committed to work-life balance.
Nga pukenga me nga wheako - Skills and experience
· A degree qualification in Medical Imaging
· Two plus years clinical experience
· Current New Zealand Scope of Practice Medical Imaging Technologist
· Current industry and discipline knowledge with recent experience
· Knowledge of or ability to learn Health NZ processes and protocols
· A broad range of clinical skills
· Vision, innovation, and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning
· Flexibility to work in a range of theoretical and clinical courses
· Capable of supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes
· Digital literacy including competence using a computer, including Microsoft Office products
· Effective communication with a diverse range of others at all levels within and outside the organisation
· MIT with current registration and recent experience in general diagnostic radiography
· Passionate about medical imaging and the opportunities to improve practice or give back to the health sector through education
